Sunday thoughts with pastor Iyke: Law & Grace

There are obviously two divides and I wish it’s just one.

One divide is of
‪#‎TheLaw‬ while the other is of
‪#‎Grace‬.

I don’t think it’s confusing where I belong.
I stand for GRACE anytime, anyday!

‪#‎Eph‬. 2: 8-9 (Amp.)
“For it is by free #Grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith.
And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;
Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]”

Your ‪#‎Salvation‬ has nothing, absolutely NOTHING to do with your ‪#‎Works‬
Notice that #Works in vs9 is defined as “fulfillment of the Law’s demands.”
No matter how you keep #TheLaw you can NEVER be saved by it.

#TheLaw to me has nothing attractive and I am not in anyway attracted to it.

#TheLaw came and brought death while #Grace came and brought life.
Grace said:
“I have come to give you life and do so more abundantly.”

If #TheLaw was perfect why will it be referred to as THE MINISTRATION OF DEATH?!

‪#‎2COR3‬:7-14.
“…But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious
And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.”

#TheLaw that was Hand-Written to Moses and engraved on stones, look at what happened to it in

‪#‎COL2‬:14.
“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.”

If you’re still in doubt of the above scripture, kindly consider

‪#‎ROM10‬: 4
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.”

I am Ikechukwu Samuel and I am making it public that I am what I am only by
‪#‎THEGRACEOFGOD‬
~• I am saved by #Grace
~• Freed by #Grace
~• Delivered by #Grace

Let me add one more scripture.
Here is our last scripture for now

‪#‎ROM7‬: 6.
“But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

I am delivered from the law!!! Amen!

‪#‎MyConclusion‬:

By nature God is Gracious and not legalistic.
You might want to say that God gave a law in the garden when he said “Don’t eat of this tree, if you do you will die.”
I am of the opinion that the undoing of Adam was not breaking that law, but hiding from #Grace.

If God was deeply mad with Adam why did He still come down looking for Adam? “Adam!, WHERE ARE YOU?”

The last time I checked, #TheLaw kills at the instance of provocation, but what comes looking for you when you provoke is #GRACE.

                             Food for thought
That you misbehaved is wrong but what is worse is hiding from #GRACE by remaining in ‪#‎Guilt‬.
